Fairytale Jubilee, an etsy shop ran by the fabulously talented Alisha Collins, provided my children with their Halloween costumes this past year. Which gave me the idea, to use the Vintage Circus Shoot by C Mari Photography, as a photo poster to welcome guests to their Vintage Circus/Carnival themed birthday party!

I had the pleasure of working with C Mari Photography to capture the memories of the shower. She is the most talented photographer I know. Definitely check her out if you are in or around the Houston, Texas area.

I also tried to incorporate their wedding colors and theme into the shower. Their theme is “Winter Wonderland” and their color is Lapis {David’s Bridal}. Since it was so hard to coordinate just the color “Lapis” which is a deep purple, I used different shades of dark purple in the decor.

Lately I have found the concept of the “guest book” to be outdated. My guest books from my wedding and shower are collecting dust in storage. So, I decided to make a new tradition. I designed my own postcard on Zazzle with the couples’ picture and initial {of course!} and on the back was the date of the shower.

At each place setting was a game packet. I ordered custom stationary from Nowthatschic on Etsy to print the games. The games, postcard, and a pen were tied in a purple ribbon and the guests were instructed to fill out the post card and hang hang it on the birdcage in the entryway.

       

    

The focal point for the buffet tables was a large antique chalkboard frame made by AlwaysElyse.
